Pan Seared Scallops

Seared sea scallops are a delicious and easy way to prepare scallops. Learn how to cook pan seared scallops by following the easy recipe below.

Recipe Ingredients

* 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
* 2 teaspoons of  salt
* 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
* 1/2 teaspoon of dried thyme
* 2 tablespoons of lemon pepper
* 16 rinsed and drained scallops
* 2 tablespoons of olive oil
* 4 tablespoons  fresh parsley (chopped)
* 4 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice

Recipe Directions

1. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the flour, salt, oregano, thyme and lemon pepper.

2. Roll scallops in the flour mixture until they are lightly coated on all sides.
3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet or frying pan over high heat. Add 4 scallops to the pan and sear on all sides (about 2 minutes for each side).

4. Remove the scallops from the pan and place on a plate in the oven to keep warm until ready to serve.

5. To serve, toss the scallops with parsley and lemon juice.
